Chocolate cookies are quick and easy to make and cut out.

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup plus 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup cocoa
  • 2 cups all purpose flour, sift before measuring
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • vanilla extract

"These cookies smell wonderful & chocolatey - but seems like something is missing (salt?). I rolled and cut out the dough with cookie cutters. When cooked, I sprinkled them with powered sugar. Look fabulous, but as I said before, don't taste quite right (not sweet enough either). I might try the recipe again, but would definitely play with it."
