
INGREDIENTS:
- 4 ounces butter, softened
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1/2 cup good quality cocoa
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- dash salt
PREPARATION:
In a mixing bowl cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy; beat in eggs, one at a time.
In another bowl, combine the flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt; stir into the creamed mixture until well blended. Drop batter by rounded teaspoonful into prepared pan. Bake the cookies for about 10 to 12 minutes, or until a Madeleine springs back when lightly touched with finger.
Place pan on rack to cool for 15 minutes. Remove cookies from pan to rack to cool completely.
Makes about 24 cookies.
