Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 cups sour cream
- 1 1/2 cups mayonnaise
- 6 ounces chopped corned beef
- 2 tablespoons minced onion
- 2 tablespoons minced fresh parsley
- 2 teaspoons dill seed
- 1 to 2 teaspoons Beau Monde seasoning (purchased, or see recipe below)
- 1 small rye bread loaf, hollowed out
- party rye slices
Preparation:
Combine first seven ingredients in large bowl; mix thoroughly. Cover
and refrigerate overnight. Spoon dip into hollowed loaf and serve with
party rye slices.
1 teaspoon ground cloves
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground bay leaf
1 teaspoon ground allspice
2 teaspoons ground black pepper
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon ground mace
1/2 teaspoon celery seed
2 teaspoons ground white pepper
Beau Monde Seasoning Blend
In a small mixing bowl, sift together the ground seasonings; mix well and store in a tightly closed jar. Makes about 10 teaspoons of Beau Monde-type seasoning.
