Ingredients:
- 1 cup finely crushed vanilla wafers
- 1 cup finely chopped walnuts or pecans
- 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar, divided
- 2 tablespoons of unsweetened cocoa
- 4 tablespoons bourbon
- 1 tablespoon plus 1 1/2 teaspoons light corn syrup
Preparation:
Combine vanilla wafer crumbs, chopped walnuts or pecans, and 1 cup powdered sugar. In a measuring cup, blend bourbon and corn syrup; stir into the dry mixture. When thoroughly blended, cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour. Sift remaining 1/2 cup of powdered sugar onto a large piece of waxed paper. Shape small amounts of the dough into balls then roll in powdered sugar. Store tightly covered in the refrigerator. May be frozen. Makes about 3 dozen.
