Shrimp Puffs

Shrimp puffs - an easy little appetizer or snack for any occasion. Shrimp puffs with bread, shrimp, shredded cheese, egg, and butter. Scroll down to see more shrimp appetizer recipes.

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup butter, room temperature
  • 2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese, room temperature
  • 1 egg, separated
  • 30 bread squares or rounds, crusts removed
  • 30 shrimp, cooked and cleaned

Preparation:

Cream butter and cheese. Blend in egg yolk. In a separate bowl, beat egg white until stiff peaks form. Fold in beaten egg white.

Arrange the bread squares on an ungreased cookie sheet. Top each bread square with one shrimp and cover with rounded teaspoonful of the cheese mixture. Bake at 350° for about 15 minutes, or until golden brown. These can be prepared up to 24 hours in advance; keep refrigerated until cooking time. Serve hot. Makes 30 shrimp appetizers.
