Ingredients:
- Dough:
- 2 packages active dry yeast
- 1/2 cup warm water
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup warm milk
- 2 eggs, slightly beaten
- 2 teaspoons grated orange peel
- 2 to 3 cups flour
- 1/4 cup softened butter

- Filling:
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 4 cups pitted sour cherries
- 2 tablespoons butter
- cinnamon
Preparation:
Filling: Mix sugar and cornstarch; stir in cherries. Pour cherry mixture evenly over the dough. Dot with butter and sprinkle lightly with cinnamon. Bake at 350° for 40 to 50 minutes.
