Butterscotch Buns Recipe

These breakfast buns are made with refrigerated biscuits, butterscotch chips, cinnamon, and chopped pecans.

Cook Time: 10 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 package refrigerated biscuits, (10 biscuits)
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1/2 cup butterscotch morsels or chips
  • 1/3 cup evaporated milk

Preparation:

Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan; sprinkle chopped nuts over the bottom. Set aside. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

In a small bowl combine sugar and cinnamon. Have melted butter ready in another small bowl. Separate biscuits and dip both sides of each biscuit into the melted butter, then into the sugar-cinnamon mixture. Place biscuits on top of nuts in the pan. Bake at 400 degrees for 10 minutes, or until golden brown.

In a small saucepan, combine butterscotch chips /morsels with evaporated milk. Heat over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the morsels are melted and the mixture is smooth. Pour butterscotch mixture over the hot buns.
