A Good Mistake, Member tiffanygottdiner

This coffee cake was very good! I did make a mistake however, but a good one. I didn't have time to let the butter soften to room temperature, so I put it in the microwave for about 8 seconds on low power and it melted a little bit, but mostly just softened. The texture of the topping ended up more dough than crumbs, and so did the result after baking it. It wasn't a crumb topping, but it sort of swirled into the rest of the cake, without mixing altogether. I thought it was better this way! Turned out kind of like Starbuck's coffee cake if they didn't have the crump topping. Excellent recipe!!
