Raisin Cookies

Old fashioned raisin cookie recipe.

Cook Time: 12 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 3/4 cup butter
  • 1 1/2 cups brown sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 tablespoons molasses
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 3 1/2 cups sifted flour
  • 1 cup raisins
  • 1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts

Preparation:

Cream butter with brown sugar; add eggs, mixing well. Combine molasses and soda; combine with the creamed mixture. Stir in sifted flour, raisins, and chopped nuts. Drop dough by teaspoonfuls onto greased baking sheet. Bake at 350° for 10 to 12 minutes, or until lightly browned.
Makes about 3 dozen raisin cookies.
