Cheese-Garlic Biscuits

Cheese-Garlic Biscuits
Mary posted this recipe, which is supposed to be similar to the Red Lobster biscuits.

  • 2 cups buttermilk baking mix, Bisquick
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder

In mixing bowl, mix together baking mix, milk and cheese until a soft dough forms, then beat vigorously 30 seconds. Drop from spoon onto ungreased baking sheet and bake at 450° until golden brown, 9 to 10 minutes. Mix together butter and garlic powder. Brush over hot biscuits and serve hot. Makes 10 - 12.

I have been told you can use the low-fat version of the Bisquick, milk and cheese and it comes out the same.

So easy & delicious, Member tjohto

Okay - So I'm trying to make these fast and have kids running around. I didn't really read the instructions ... just the ingredients. Didn't notice that the butter and garlic were supposed to go on top until after we had eaten. I just mixed them in with everything else, dropped them onto the baking sheet, and enjoyed. I suppose in this case I could have cut down the amount of butter, but it was super yummy and didn't leave our fingers greasy since the butter was all on the inside.
