Prep Time: 2 minutes
Ingredients:
- 1 can (14.5 ounces) stewed tomatoes, sliced
- 2 large green onions, finely chopped
- 1 large ripe tomato, cored, peeled, seeded, and diced
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- dash Tabasco sauce, or to taste
Preparation:
Combine stewed tomatoes in saucepan with onions, fresh tomato, salt and pepper. Bring just to a boil. Boil hard for about 1 minute . Remove from heat.Blend half of the mixture until finely chopped. Return to remaining half of mixture.
Cool and refrigerate in a tightly covered container to use with a week to 10 days.
This salsa can be frozen. If hotter salsa is desired, add chopped canned
green chiles or jalapeno peppers.
