I have been making this corn bread recipe for over 25 years. given to me by a dear friend from Beaumont Tx. The only thing I do differently, is, I do not mix the sour cream and cheese together. I actually will layer the two. First the sourcream, then the cheese. So when you slice into it, you can SEE the different layers of cornbread, onions, sour cream and cheese. This bread stays moist, and is as good cold as warm. I also, add the small amt of butter that I cook the onions in, and add to the top of the prepared uncooked corn bread with the onions.
