Ingredients:
- 3 to 4 pounds country style ribs
- 1 large lemon or 1 1/2 medium lemons, thinly sliced
- 1 large orange or 1 1/2 medium oranges, sliced
- 1 large onion, thinly sliced
- 4 cups water
- 2 cups ketchup
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 2 teaspoons chili powder
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 3 to 4 dashes Tabasco sauce
Preparation:
Place ribs in a shallow roasting pan, meaty side up. On each rib, place a thin slice of lemon, a thin slice of orange, and an onion slice. Roast at 450° for 20 minutes. Combine remaining ingredients in a medium saucepan; bring to a boil. Pour sauce mixture over ribs. Reduce oven temperature to 350°; continue roasting for 1 hour longer, basting several times.Country style pork ribs recipe serves 4 to 6.
