Nina's Beef and Beans

Easy crockpot beef and beans, with seasonings and chopped vegetables.

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 pound. lean ground beef
  • 2 cans kidney beans
  • 2 cans pork and beans (I use home made beans)
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 (14.5 oz) can tomatoes, crushed
  • 1 can tomato soup
  • 1/2 green pepper, chopped
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • crushed red pepper to taste
  • chili powder to taste
  • cayenne pepper to taste

Preparation:

Brown ground beef; drain off excess fat and transfer to crockpot; add all remaining ingredients. Cover and cook on low for 7 to 9 hours.

Nina's Note: Use as much or as little of the seasonings as you like. My family likes their chili hot so I use quite a bit. Start with 1/2 teaspoon of each and adjust or delete to your preference. Enjoy.
