Ingredients:
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 1 pound lean ground turkey or extra lean ground beef
- 2 cans (16 oz.each) baked beans
- 1 can pinto (16 oz.) beans
- 1 (16 oz.) can red kidney beans
- 1 can (16 oz.) Great Northern beans
- 1 can (8 ounces) tomato sauce
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon maple extract
- 3 tablespoon liquid smoke
Preparation:
Cook chopped onion and ground turkey or beef in skillet until no longer pink. Transfer to slow cooker. Add remaining ingredients to slow cooker; cover and cook on LOW for 4 to 6 hours. Long simmering brings out the flavors.
