Gingered Veal Strips

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 pounds boneless veal shoulder, cut into thin strips
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/4 dry sherry
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger or 2 to 4 tablespoons fresh grated ginger
  • 2 teaspoons sugar

Preparation:

Brown veal over medium-high heat in nonstick skillet. Mix remaining ingredients in slow cooker; stir in browned veal. Cover and cook on HIGH for 2 to 3 hours. Serve with hot cooked rice and Chinese-style mixed vegetables.
Serves 6.
