Crockpot Round Steak Sauerbraten

Crockpot round steak with spices and honey.

Cook Time: 8 hours

Ingredients:

• 1 1/2 pounds round steak, cut in 1-inch cubes
• 2 envelopes brown gravy mix (enough dry mix to make 2 cups gravy)
• 1 tablespoon minced onion
• 1 tablespoon honey
• 2 tablespoons red wine
• 1 teaspoon ground ginger
• 1 bay leaf
• 1 cup water
• salt
• pepper

Preparation:

Brown meat in oil. Mix brown gravy mix, onion, honey, wine, ginger, bay leaf and 2 cups water in the slow cooker. Cook on low until meat is tender, about 8 hours. Serve over cooked rice.
