Ingredients:
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 3 to 3 1/2 pounds chicken parts
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon prepared mustard
- salt and pepper to taste
- grated rind and juice of 2 large oranges
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 3 tablespoons water
- orange slices
Preparation:
Heat butter in a large skillet; brown chicken; place in slow cooker. Combine sugar, mustard, salt, pepper, orange rind, and orange juice in frying pan; boil. Pour sauce over chicken and cook on high for 4 1/2 to 6 1/2 hours, until chicken is tender and juices run clear. Remove chicken from slow cooker and keep warm. Blend cornstarch with water and stir into the pot; allow to thicken. Cover and cook on HIGH for 10 to 15 minutes. Spoon sauce over chicken. Garnish with orange slices.Shared by Ness W.
