Ingredients:
- 3 pounds chicken pieces, broiler-fryer, cut up
- salt, to taste
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 2 jars marinated artichoke, hearts; reserve marinade
- 1 can (4 ounces) mushrooms, drained
- 2 tablespoons quick-cooking tapioca
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 3 tablespoons dry sherry or more chicken broth
- 1/2 teaspoon dried tarragon
Preparation:
Place mushrooms and artichoke hearts in bottom of slow cooker. Sprinkle with
tapioca. Add the browned chicken pieces. Pour in chicken broth and sherry. Add
tarragon. Cover and cook on LOW for 7 to 8
hours, or cook on HIGH for 3 1/2 to 4 1/2 hours.
