Slow Cooker Chicken and Gravy

User Rating 5 Star Rating (1 Review)

In this easy recipe, boneless chicken breasts are slow cooked to perfection with potatoes and carrots. Onion soup mix and condensed soup makes this chicken flavorful and easy.

  • 4 to 6 boneless chicken breast halves, without skin
  • 4 to 6 medium potatoes, peeled and cut in 1-inch cubes
  • 4 to 6 ribs celery, cut in 1-inch lengths
  • 1/2 bag baby carrots
  • 1 can (10 3/4 ounces) cream of chicken soup
  • 1 envelope dry onion soup mix

Place vegetables in bottom of slow cooker. Brown chicken breasts in a large skillet in a little oil or cooking spray, if desired. Place chicken over vegetables. Cover with the undiluted cream of chicken soup. Sprinkle with dry onion soup mix. Cover and cook on LOW for 6 hours, or until chicken is cooked and vegetables are tender.

Great meal, Member szipkin

This recipe was so easy to make and was so delicious! I did add an onion diced to the potatoes underneath the chicken. I was surprised at how moist the boneless chicken breast was when it was dinnertime. I did cook it on low for 6 hours and then I switched it to keep warm and it did not dry out at all. My 2 year old and my husband also loved this meal. Would definitely make again and I think the next time I would try the savory garlic and herb packet from Lipton instead of the onion packet. But loved the meal!
