Tami's Honey-Mustard Chicken

Tami's easy honey and mustard chicken is made with a simple combination of Dijon mustard and honey.


  • 4 to 6 boneless skinless chicken breast halves (or use other pieces of chicken)
  • 3/4 cup Dijon mustard or use a favorite gourmet mustard
  • 1/4 cup honey


Put chicken in pot. Mix mustard and honey and pour over chicken. Cook on high for 3 hours or on low for 6 to 8 hours. Adjust time for bone-in chicken.

For as simple as this recipe was, it was pretty good! I am always adding a little more water because I always freak out that the chicken will overcook and get too dry. Well, the chicken was pretty dark when I got home and I have to admit-- it still turned out a little dry! I'm not sure if cooking the chicken on high for 3 hours was necessary...chicken cooks pretty fast. I think next time I'll just take my chances and cook on low the whole time. But the flavor was excellent! Serving the sauce it left (because of the added water--like 1/3 cup) over rice would have been a great idea, but I just served asparagus and it was a good match. The best thing about this recipe is most folks usually have all 3 ingredients on hand all the time.
