Ingredients:
- 2 or 3 pounds hamburger (lean ground beef)
- 2 large onions, minced
- stalks with leaves of celery, diced small (I use 3 or 4 stalks)
- 6 cloves of garlic minced
- 2 small cans tomato sauce & each can filled with water
- 1 small can tomato paste also filled with water
- 2 Tblsp chili powder
- salt and pepper to taste
- mushrooms optional
Preparation:
Brown hamburger and onions and drain. Put in slow cooker along with the rest of the ingredients and cook on low 8 to 10 hours.Sandy's Note: My mom always cooked this on top of the stove for 4 or 5 hours, but I like the slow cooker method.
