  • 6 pounds pork spareribs
  • water to cover meat
  • 4 teaspoons pickling spice
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/4 cups firmly packed brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons dry mustard
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1/2 cup cola (not diet)
