My husband and I both enjoyed this dish. The only change I made, aside from doubling it due to the huge piece of meat, was that I seasoned the well trimmed pork thoroughly with Paula Deen's House Seasoning* rubbed on all surfaces, before placing it into the slow cooker. I chilled the sauce overnight to more easily skim off the fat, then added the flour and thickened it the next day and heated the sliced meat in it. Delicious! This recipe is a keeper. Next time I might cut the pork into smaller pieces so I can season it more thoroughly, as the inner meat lacked flavor. * Paula Deen's House Seasoning: 1 cup salt, 1/4 cup each ground pepper and garlic powder.
