Myron's Asian Spiced Pork Roast
Many thanks to Myron for sharing his recipe for an Asian spiced pork roast. Use a pork loin roast in this recipe, or try it with a boneless pork shoulder roast.

Yield: Serves 6 to 8

Ingredients:

  • 1 pork roast, 3 to 4 pounds
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup orange marmelade or apricot preserves
  • 1 tablespoon ketchup
  • 1 (or more!) garlic clove, crushed

This recipe was delicious. I used pork shoulder steaks and cooked it on a low heat in the oven. It took about 3 hours on 160C. I then removed the cooked pork steaks and thickened the juices with a little cornflour to make a sauce. Serve with mashed or boiled potatoes and steamed veg. The whole family loved it and had no idea that they were eating marmalade for dinner!
