Great Mixture of Gooeyness & FirmnessOctober 01, 2009By mlgainey
"This layered casserole was delish! The cheese melted over everything and made it wonderfully gooey, while the potatoes were firmer (than melted cheese, of course!) and gave us something nice to bite down on. The leftover cubed and smoked ham that we used gave a nice bit of saltiness. The onions softened up nicely and lent a wonderful flavor to the whole dish. And perhaps the best part was all the scrumptious pot likker or broth in the bottom of the slow cooker. Flavored by the onions and the soup and the spices, it made for excellent sopping material. Will definitely make again."
