This tastes like Wendy's Chili to me, at least my version of it did and it was delish! After going back and re-reading the recipe I realized that I only put one can of chopped tomatoes but it didn't hurt the flavor in my opinion. I did a few things different as the only prep work I did Sunday night was thaw 2lbs of ground green onion deer meat (I used 1 1/2lbs of it instead of ground turkey). On Monday morning I had to use what was in my cabinet/refridgerator! With my deer meat, I used a green onion/onion/celery cajun seasoning mix instead of just onions, no black beans instead I put a white bean puree in (from sneaky chef), 1 can of chopped tomatoes (no chilis) instead of 2. Everything else I had and used. This wasn't spicy like chili but flavorful, which I prefer over spice. Best part was that it took about 20 minutes start to finish to brown the meat and get all the ingredients in the crockpot lid on. Add some cheese and YUM! And my 3 1/2 year old ate it :)
