Ground Beef and Bean Soup

This delicious soup makes a satisfying meal with fresh baked cornbread and a simple salad.

Ingredients:

  • 1 can pinto beans (15 ounces), drained and rinsed
  • 1 lb. ground beef, browned
  • 1 lg. onion, chopped
  • 1 large can (28 oz) tomatoes
  • 3 tbsp. chili powder
  • 1 can (4 oz) chopped chile peppers, mild or hot
  • 1 tsp. pepper
  • Seasoned salt, to taste

Preparation:

Combine all ingredients in slow cooker. Cover and cook on low 6-8 hours. Taste and adjust seasoning.
Serves 4 to 6.
