Easy Crockpot Chili Turkey

User Rating 1 Star Rating (1 Review)

Use turkey or chicken cutlets or tenders in this easy recipe.

  • l to 1 1/2 pounds turkey tenders or cutlets, or use chicken
  • 2 tablespoons taco seasoning
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely minced
  • 1 cup chunky salsa (your choice of heat)
  • 1/2 cup peach or apricot preserves

Cut turkey into cubes or strips. Dust with taco seasoning and quickly brown with garlic in a skillet. Put turkey into slow cooker. Deglaze skillet with salsa and preserves then pour over chicken. Cook on low for 4 to 6 hours.

Rose-Marie's Note:
This will probably also work without the prior browning but as we all know, that extra step usually adds flavor.

Horrible recipe...burned up after only 3 1/2 hours, Member nikki4vt

I followed this recipe exactly and when I checked on it after 3 1/2 hours, it had burned all around the outside of the food and ruined the whole dish. Very disappointed in this recipe!!! Plus, it would have barely made enough food for 3 people.
