I used fresh okra grown in my backyard garden. A few of those were stringy, but I didn't realize that until *after* I had cooked them! Recipe was easy, came out like Grandma's Fried Okra, and all servings disappeared on sight. Used a heavy cast iron skillet with Canola oil to fry - great crispy results!
