Praline Syrup

A praline syrup recipe with pecans.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups dark corn syrup
  • 1/3 cup dark brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 cup coarsely chopped pecans
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Preparation:

Combine syrup, sugar, and water in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a boil; boil for 1 minute. Remove from heat; stir in chopped pecans and vanilla. Pour syrup into hot jars, leaving 1/4 inch head space. Adjust caps. Process 10 minutes in a boiling water bath.
Makes about 4 half-pints.
