Soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and lemon juice, and seasonings make a great marinade for this flank steak. To serve the steak, slice very thinly across the grain. Serve with your favorite potato salad and sliced fresh veggies.

Cook Time: 10 minutes

Marinate Time: 2 hours

Total Time: 2 hours, 10 minutes

Yield: Serves 4 to 6

Ingredients:

  • 2 pounds flank steak
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/3 cup canola oil
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 3 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 clove garlic, finely minced
  • 2 tablespoons coarsely chopped fresh cilantro, optional
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cajun seasoning blend
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper

Preparation:

Put the flank steak in a large food storage bag.

Combine the remaining ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. Pour over steak, seal the bag, and turn to coat the steak thoroughly. Refrigerate for 2 to 4 hours, turning a few times.

Heat the grill.

Discard the marinade and grill the steak over direct heat to desired doneness, or about 4 minutes on each side for medium rare.

Slice thinly across the grain to serve.

Serves 4 to 6.
