Ingredients:
- 1 bag Dixie Lily hush puppy mix
- 1 can (12 to 15 ounces) whole kernel corn, drained
- 1 cup finely chopped onions
- 1 16oz jar mild salsa or picante sauce
Preparation:
Mix all together in large bowl, until consistency of cornbread batter, stirring until well mixed. Let stand until ready to use, (about 30min.) IMPORTANT: DO NOT STIR or MIX AGAIN!!!!Drop by tablespoon into hot fat (about 370°) in deep fryer, turning when golden brown. Drain on paper towels, serve. They cook pretty fast.
Note: dip spoon in glass of water after each hush puppy to keep from sticking to spoon. ENJOY!!!!
