Strawberry Cream Cheese Salad Mold

Cream cheese and walnuts are shaped into balls then arranged in a strawberry and gelating mixture.

Ingredients:

  • 1 package strawberry gelatin (4-serving size)
  • 1 1/2 cups hot water
  • dash salt
  • 1 package (10 ounces) frozen strawberries
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 small package (3 ounces) cream cheese
  • 3 tablespoons chopped walnuts
  • milk
  • lettuce

Preparation:

Dissolve gelatin in hot water; add strawberries, lemon juice, and salt. Stir mixture until strawberries are completely thawed. Chill until partially set. Soften cream cheese with a little milk if needed, shape into small balls and roll in chopped walnuts. Place half of the cream cheese balls around the bottom of a 3-cup mold. Pour enough thickened gelatin mixture into mold to hold them in place. chill until almost set. Add remaining gelatin; chill until set.
Unmold on lettuce and garnish with remaining cheese balls.
