Ingredients:
- 1 package strawberry gelatin (4-serving size)
- 1 1/2 cups hot water
- dash salt
- 1 package (10 ounces) frozen strawberries
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 small package (3 ounces) cream cheese
- 3 tablespoons chopped walnuts
- milk
- lettuce
Preparation:
Dissolve gelatin in hot water; add strawberries, lemon juice, and salt. Stir mixture until strawberries are completely thawed. Chill until partially set. Soften cream cheese with a little milk if needed, shape into small balls and roll in chopped walnuts. Place half of the cream cheese balls around the bottom of a 3-cup mold. Pour enough thickened gelatin mixture into mold to hold them in place. chill until almost set. Add remaining gelatin; chill until set.Unmold on lettuce and garnish with remaining cheese balls.
