Green Beans with Sour Cream Sauce

Green bean recipe with green beans, sour cream, onion, butter, vinegar, and sugar.


  • 4 to 5 cups cut green beans
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1 cup liquid from beans
  • salt
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 3 tablespoons vinegar
  • 1 cup sour cream

Okay - I used plain yogurt instead of sour cream. I also used brown sugar (and lots of it - maybe 1/4 cup). For vinegar, use red wine vinegar. Top it off with bacon crumbs.
