Ingredients:

  • 2 to 3 pounds fresh green beans, trimmed and cut
  • water to cover, about 3 to 4 cups
  • 1 cup sliced fresh mushrooms
  • 1/3 cup chopped onion
  • 1 can (8oz) sliced water chestnuts, drained
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon basil
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
  • 1/3 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
