Cook Time: 20 minutes
Ingredients:
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 3 tablespoons cider vinegar
- 2 teaspoons packed brown sugar
- 1 clove garlic, finely minced
- 1/8 teaspoon dried thyme
- few dashes Tabasco sauce
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 4 boneless chicken breast halves
Preparation:
Combine ketchup, vinegar, brown sugar, garlic, thyme, Tabasco, and black pepper in a saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium heat; cook, stirring frequently, until thickened, about 5 minutes. Brush chicken pieces lightly with the sauce. Place chicken, sauce-side down, on a foil-lined broiler pan or grill rack. Brush other sides lightly with more sauce. Broil or grill 3 to 4 inches from the heat source, basting with remaining sauce, until chicken is cooked through. Turn about halfway through cooking. This will take about 5 to 7 minutes per side. Let chicken stand for 5 minutes before serving.Serves 4.
