Bourbon Chicken

This grilled chicken is made with a marinade of bourbon, maple syrup, and herbs.

Ingredients:

  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley flakes
  • 1 teaspoon dried leaf thyme
  • 4 to 6 chicken breast halves
  • 3 tablespoons bourbon
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil

Preparation:

Mix parsley and thyme together, or use 2 teaspoons fines herbes. Mix bourbon, maple syrup, and oil together. Combine mixtures, cover, and marinate chicken in refrigerator for 1 to 2 hours. Grill over medium coals until chicken is cooked, turning occasionally. Boil leftover marinade and use to baste chicken the last 5 to 10 minutes of grilling.
Serves 4 to 6
