This flavorful pork tenderloin is first marinated in a simple mixture of salsa verde, lime juice, garlic, and scallions. Serve this delicious pork sliced, with more salsa verde on the side, garnished with fresh chopped cilantro. Any side dishes or salad would go nicely with this grilled pork tenderloin.

Prep Time: 15 minutes

Cook Time: 20 minutes

Marinate: 2 hours

Total Time: 2 hours, 35 minutes

Yield: Serves 4


  • 1/3 cup salsa verde
  • juice of 1 lime
  • 1 teaspoon crushed garlic
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 1 1/2 pounds pork tenderloin, about 2 small to medium pork tenderloins
  • salsa verde, for serving
  • cilantro, for garnish, optional


Trim the tenderloins, cutting off any visible fat and silver skin.

Combine the salsa, lime, garlic, and green onions in a bowl or food storage bag. Add the tenderloins, turn to coat, cover or seal, and refrigerate for 2 to 4 hours.

Heat the grill to medium-high. Grill the tenderloins, turning frequently, until they reach 155° on an instant read thermometer. Grilling will take about 20 to 25 minutes, depending on the size of the tenderloins. Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing.

Serve with more salsa verde and garnish with cilantro, if desired.
