The flat iron steak is a tender, flavorful beef steak cut from the shoulder area. If you can't find flat iron steak, try the seasoning mixture with a flank steak.

Cook Time: 10 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 1 tablespoon ground paprika
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon chipotle chile powder
  • 2 teaspoons chili powder blend
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 pounds flat iron steak (2 to 3 steaks or use flank steak)

Preparation:

Combine all seasonings and spices.
Rub the steak all over with the seasonings, wrap in plastic or put in a food storage bag. Refrigerate for 2 hours. Grill over hot coals for 4 to 6 minutes on each side.
Serves 4.
