Bulgur Pilaf

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups bulgur wheat
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 bunch green onions, sliced
  • 1 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 5 cups beef or chicken broth
  • 4 tablespoons melted butter
  • salt to taste

Preparation:

Combine all ingredients in the Crock Pot and stir well. Cover and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours.
Serves 6.

"I made this with the beef broth. I thoroughly enjoyed the recipe, but it is a bit much for just one person to eat. I don't know if it's my crockpot, but this was done WAY before the 6-8 hours required. I put this on low, and it was done about 3 hours in, but I went ahead and set it down to warm for about another hour and a half. I would imagine this would serve more than 6. I will also probably add more mushrooms the next time I make it."
