Very Versatile and a Family Hit @@February 10, 2008By lizloveit
"I originally found this recipe in a pinch with only a few ingredients in my house that day. I must say it is delicious and easy to make. The first time I used 1 lb of ground beef and 1 pkg ground sausage (like owens), and tonite I used 2 lbs of the sausage--The family likes to go back for seconds later. The other thing I did was substitute 1 pkt of Lipton onion soup mix for the minced onion, salt, thyme and pepper. This made it super quick and easy to prepare! I used a rectangular (9x13?) pyrex rather than a pie dish, and left the stuffing at one pkg, but had to increase the meat to fill the ""pie"". I also topped the pie with cheese as well as mixed some in. Well, it is a HIT with my family and will become a regular in our household for some time to come! Thank you for sharing Diana!"
