Ingredients:
- 1 pound ground round or very lean ground beef
- 1 to 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 tablespoon instant minced onion
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 1/2 teaspoons Gravy Master or Kitchen Bouquet browning sauce
- 1 can (14.5 ounces) diced tomatoes
- 1 can (15 ounces) Lima beans, drained
- 1 can or jar (12 to 16 ounces) small whole onions, drained
Preparation:
In a large skillet, brown the ground round, stirring and breaking up, in a little oil; pour off grease. Add the instant onion, salt, pepper, Worcestershire sauce, browning sauce, and tomatoes. Bring to a boil. Simmer, stirring occasionally, for 15 minutes. Add beans and small whole onions. Simmer for 5 minutes longer.
