Ingredients:
- 1 pound lean hamburger
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 3 carrots, sliced
- 1 can (14.5 ounces) diced tomatoes
- 3 potatoes, diced
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoon pepper, or to taste
- 1/2 head cabbage, coarsely chopped
- 1 can corn
- 1 can green beans
- 1 can peas
Preparation:
Brown hamburger and onion until onion is translucent beef is no longer pink. Add in carrots, tomatoes and a couple of cans of water. Stir in spices. Bring to boil; add in potatoes. Cook until vegetables are about halfway done. Add in cabbage. When veggies are all tender, mix in canned vegetables and heat. This is one that makes a pretty large pot of soup, but it improves with reheating anyway. (I generally add more carrots and potatoes than what it calls for simply because my family likes having more in there.)Hamburger stew shared by Tonya
