Ingredients:
- 6 fully-cooked ham steaks, about 1/2-inch thick
- 4 cups hot cooked rice
- 1 cup shredded milk Cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup thinly sliced green onions, with tops
- 2 tablespoons fresh chopped parsley
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Preparation:
Slash edges of ham slices in several places to prevent curling. Broil ham 2 inches from heat for 3 to 4 minutes on each side. In a large bowl, combine hot rice with cheese, green onion, parsley and salt; toss gently to mix. Arrange rice on a platter; top with ham slices.Ham and rice recipe serves 6.
