Ham Loaf Recipe

User Rating 5 Star Rating (1 Review)

This ham loaf is a great way to use that leftover ham, and it would be delicious with baked sweet potatoes.

Cook Time: 1 hour

Total Time: 1 hour

  • 1 1/2 pounds ground smoked ham
  • 1 tablespoon prepared mustard
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley
  • 1/2 cup quick-cooking oats
  • 3/4 cup evaporated milk or half-and-half
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/4 cup light brown sugar, packed
  • 1/4 cup vinegar

Combine ground ham, mustard, chopped onion, parsley, oats, milk, and egg; mix well to blend and form into a loaf in a greased 9x5-inch loaf pan. Combine brown sugar and vinegar in a saucepan; heat until sugar is dissolved. Pour mixture over ham loaf. Bake at 350° for 60 minutes. If desired, garnish with tomato slices, spinach leaves, and hard-cooked egg slices.

Really exceptional recipe; however, I found that it was a little crumbly. What can be done to make it more firm?
