Broiled Ham Slice With Sweet Potatoes

Brush ham steaks with a little of the melted butter and arrange on an oiled rack in broiler pan. Broil 4 inches from heat source for 4 to 5 minutes or until lightly browned. Meanwhile, combine remaining melted butter, the grated onion, and bread crumbs. Toss to mix well. Turn ham and top with the sweet potato halves. Sprinkle with crumb mixture. Broil until crumbs are nicely browned and sweet potatoes are thoroughly heated.
Serves 4.
