User Rating 3 Star Rating (1 Review)

These burgers are made with minced or ground ham, chopped peppers and onions, and seasonings.

  • 1 cup minced ham
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped green bell pepper
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh parsley or 1 teaspoon dried parsley flakes
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • few drops Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter

Combine ham, green pepper, onion, parsley, salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce. Blend in beaten egg with hands or wooden spoon. Divide mixture into 4 portions and shape into burgers. Heat butter and oil in a large skillet over medium-low heat until hot. Fry ham burgers for about 5 minutes on each side. Drain on paper towels. Serve with toasted split buns, if desired.
Serves 4.

Taste was wonderful but they did not stay as burgers. They fell apart, when I tried turning over. However, scooped out and served on toasted buns. Hubby is a picky eater sometimes, and he enjoyed. Next time I am going to use two eggs and see if they stay together.
