Hash Brown Potato Casserole

This hash brown casserole was shared on our forum.

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 (32 oz.) pkg shredded frozen potatoes, thawed
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 med. onion chopped
  • 1 can cream of celery soup undiluted
  • 12 oz grated American cheese

Preparation:

Melt butter 9x13 inch baking dish; mix in the thawed hash browns. Mix together next 4 ingredients and pour over potatoes; blend well. Bake uncovered at 350° for 45 minutes.
Serves 12.

"I made this for a men's breakfast at my church and it went over great. the only change I did was to substitute the Cream of Celery soup with Cream of Mushroom."
