Cream Cheese Frosting


This flavorful cream cheese frosting makes enough for a two layer cake.


  • 4 tablespoons butter, softened
  • 1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened
  • 4 cups confectioners' sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract


In a large mixing bowl, beat cream cheese, butter, and vanilla together until blended. With electric mixer on low, beat in the powdered sugar a little at a time until well blended. Beat on high speed until smooth and creamy.

Makes enough cream cheese frosting for a 2-layer cake.
